Le Gamin du Terroir 2022

This is the flagship cuvée of Romain Hénin. Le Gamin du Terroir is a blend of 40% Pinot Noir, 40% Pinot Meunier, and 20% Chardonnay, sourced from several plots of old vines located on the steepest, most chalky slopes of Aÿ and neighboring Premier Cru sites. The Pinots provide structure and fruit. The Chardonnay adds lightness and precision. Aged on lees without stirring, then bottled, disgorged, unfiltered and zero dosage. Le Gamin du Terroir is characterized by its lively notes of citrus peel, white flowers, green apple, and stone fruit, evolving into creamy notes of brioche and salted shellfish. The bubbles are finely integrated and the finish is infinitely long and chalky. Only 3,000 bottles produced.
