Established in 2019 in the Markgräflerland of Baden by Max Frölich and Karoline Linka, the domaine Makalié farms a fully biodynamic 3-hectare vineyard. Their name

embodies a philosophy of being «connected to the earth» realized through respectful viticulture.

They meticulously work distinct plots with unique geological diversity - volcanic, limestone and loess soils treating each like a «Grand Cru». In the cellar, a hands-off

approach using native yeasts and aging in Burgundian barrels yields terroir-driven wines of remarkable structure and density. The results are inense, flinty whites and

bright, silky reds with impressive fruit concentration, a unique style in Germany.

With extremely limited production, these captivating wines are highly sought-after by sommeliers and collectors, cementing Makalié’s as a true rising star.
