Blend of Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvèdre, this cuvée has a subtle nose of black fruits and spices. On the palate, flavors of black cherry, pepper, and licorice express themselves elegantly, supported by silky tannins. Its 12 months of barrel aging give it a balanced structure without heaviness. This vintage from Benoît is characterized by its precision & freshness. It is a clean, fruits-driven wine, combining southern power and elegance.

Prieuré Saint Jean de Bébian boasts a fascinating history dating back to the Roman Empire, when the vineyard was awarded to the victorious centurion Bébianus. The estate was later sold to monks who built a monastery and cultivated the land for wine. After several changes in ownership, the estate was acquired in 1991 by the former owners of La Revue des Vins de France and later, in 2015, by Russian businessman Alexander Pumpyansky, who also took control of Domaine Ganevat. The estate is now under the expert care of Benoit Pontenier, the talented winemaker behind its revival.
Today, Prieuré Saint Jean de Bébian spans 19 hectares, featuring both old and young vines, all farmed biodynamically. In the cellar, Benoit favors minimal intervention, using wild yeasts and avoiding filtration, allowing the wines to fully express the unique terroir. The estate’s commitment to sustainable practices and natural winemaking techniques results in wines that reflect the deep connection between land and craft.
