

La Trempette 2020 is a unique Champagne crafted from a meticulous blend of 40% Pinot Noir, 20% Pinot Meunier, 20% Pinot Gris, and 20% Chardonnay. 2020 is the second vintage from Aurélien, from limestone and chalk-rich soils that lend tension, minerality, and purity. The name of the cuvée refers to the infusion of the grapes in Georgian amphorae, which adds complexity and aromatic tension. La Trempette is made without added sulfites and is a non-dosage Brut Nature Champagne. The palate is lively, with unique aromas of red berries, dry fruits, and a touch of spices, ending with a light bitterness that structures and balances yet is clean and delicate, providing an unprecedented Champagne experience. Only 2250 bottles produced.

Aurélien Lemaire is a young and very talented winemaker who took over his family estate in 2016 from his father Claude Lemaire. Located in Boursault in the heart of Vallée de la Marne, the estate is composed of 5ha of 28 different parcels. Since 2022, the entire domaine has been converted to biodynamic culture. Aurélien has modernized all the winemaking processes while advocating for a lower level of intervention. The champagnes are made without sulfur and natural yeast to let the terroir express itself. Aurélien is now releasing three different cuvées : Les Terres Jaunes, La Trempette, and La Guiguette, showcasing the great terroir of the vineyard of Boursault.
