Simon Batardière

Since settling in Anjou in 2016, Simon Batardière has been crafting exceptional natural wines from his 2-hectare estate, producing his first vintage in 2018. With a mix of young and over 100-year-old vines of Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc, Simon focuses on organic, sulfite-free vinification using only indigenous yeasts. Driven by a commitment to purity, Simon’s wines are a true reflection of the Loire Valley’s terroir, with a perfect balance of acidity and tension that showcases their cellaring potential. A discreet yet promising talent, Simon is part of the new generation of winemakers bringing quality and care to the natural wine movement.
